Simple ballot and email estimates come from the included monthly VU/MU allowances. They are not extra quotas. Option limits and result-recalculation costs are separate.

How usage and limits work

Included resources are shared across polls in the account, or across the Team workspace. Monthly and annual subscriptions have different billing-period resource pools; an annual pool is not an additional monthly allowance.

VU counts finalized ballots, not the number of options ranked. For a simple poll with one ranking, one participant finalizing once uses one VU. Further accepted vote submissions can use more VU.

RU pays for result recalculations. One recalculation can use several RU depending on participants and options. Choosing Borda instead of Schulze does not by itself reduce the current RU charge.

One MU is one email to one recipient. Invitations and reminders share the email budget.

The Schulze limit applies if Schulze appears anywhere in the counting cascade. The without-Schulze limit applies only when the entire cascade excludes Schulze. These limits also apply to Live polls.

Full-mode Live polls update on their selected daily, weekly or monthly schedule, or through a manual recalculation; they do not necessarily recalculate after every ballot. Frequent updates can require extra RU.

For 30 options and 500 participants, the current calculation model estimates 12 RU per recalculation. Multiply by the number of updates, not the number of visitors viewing results.

A contest with 25–30 options and a few hundred participants

For one poll with 30 options, 500 participants submitting once and Borda counting, Individual $19 plan ($19/month) is the lowest listed individual plan that fits the option limit and included VU. Free PAYG cannot bypass the option limit. This assumes unused allowances; extra result updates, emails, repeat submissions or additional paid features can add cost. Longer subscriptions cost more than one monthly payment.
